1> You directly can’t use a .mp3 format music as your startup tone since only.wav format is allowed. So, don’t forget to change the music from mp3 format to wave format before replacing the custom tone.
2> You need to have administrator privileges i.e you should have logged in as system administrator.
How to change the Windows 7 or Windows Vista Startup Sound ?
1>> Firstly, download the .zip file of Startup Sound Changer and extract it to get the setup file.
2>> Now double-click on the setup file to run and install it on your computer.
3>> After successful installation, launch the program, click on Replace and choose your new .wav file, and you are all done.
Clicking on Play – plays the current sound to start Windows.
Clicking on Restore – restores the sound to the default one that you had priorly.
