State-owned Agrani Bank’s top official Syed Abdul Hamid removed

A Bangladesh Bank directive signed by Governor Fazle Kabir to remove Syed Abdul Hamid has been sent to the bank on Thursday.
“We have received the letter for removing the managing director. Immediate action has been taken,” the state-owned bank’s Chairman Zaid Bakht told bdnewsweb.com.
He said that the decision came after irregularities in granting loans worth Tk 7.92 billion surfaced recently.
